KATHY
My name is Kathy and I live in Memphis, TN. I have been a fan since day 1..I loved his music and he was a local boy..I wanted him to make it big time.
The first time I saw him, Gosh, this one is hard to answer..I live in Memphis so I have seen him for the first time in the 50's around town. I saw him in concert for the first time in '74..I did see him around town too. I used to live near Graceland back in the 60s, 70s and 80s.
I don't post much but I have been coming to this board since it first started
And here's Lisa
LISA
I've been a fan of Elvis' since, at least Sept 22, 1977, if not before, but my earliest memory is from Sept 22, 1977 to present. I was in the hospital waiting to have reconstructive surgery on my left elbow after severely dislocating it and breaking the bone from the shoulder to the elbow after falling off a wood pile at my uncle's house, and the hospital sound system had been playing E.P.'s music for about a month after his death.
I don't recall the first time I ever saw Elvis on tv or seeing anything about him in print. I never had the chance to see him live before his death.
I've never been to Memphis or Tupelo.
I've been a lurker to the NG for a couple of years, but started posting semi regularly for about a year.
And next is Rose
ROSE
Rose here from St Louis Missouri
I've been an Elvis Fan since 1956. The First time I actually saw Elvis was on the Ed Sullivan Show. But bought all his records from the first one he recorded. I actually got to meet him in Las Vegas in 1974. And talked to him about 15 minutes got, a Picture from him and a kiss on the cheek, which I will cherish forever. I've been to Graceland 7 times and just love it, been to Tupelo 2 times... I've been Posting in the Group for 3 years.

And on to Pat
PAT
I was 9 years old when I first heard Elvis at my sister's
house...her hubby had bought a 45 record of Heartbreak Hotel and I was hooked. I first saw him on Ed Sullivan Show...then I totally fell
in love. I think he is the greatest singer of all time.
My sister and I saw him in concert in Cleveland, Ohio....in July, 1975. We were in the nosebleed section....but he was awesome....there were people of all ages....from toddlers to grandparents. I've never been to Graceland.....hope to go one day.
I have been a member of this NG for about 1 & 1/2 years.
And now, meet Catt
CATT
She lives in Illinois, but is originally from Arkansas~I have been a Fan of Elvis from the first moment I seen Elvis on TV. He was something to see. Elvis sure did bring Life into our Homes. My Mother fell in Love with Elvis. I was real young but not that young, My Heart Jumped every time I seen Elvis on TV.
The first time that I recall seeing Elvis is on the Ed Sullivan Show. I remember how silly that it was that they did not want us to see Elvis Shake His Body
I have never seen him in concert, so sad :-(
I was at Graceland with my Mother the Year Elvis died, to give our good-bye's to the King!
I've been a part of the Group, I guess it has been about 6 month's, And Mike is the best! I really am glad that I found Mikes Group. Sharon, you and everyone on Mike's Group are the Best!
I listen to Elvis and his great songs everyday. I really Love Jail House Rock, That has a lot of life to it. Believe me I like every song that he has. Any time that Elvis is on TV I try to see everything about Him. Elvis is just Fascinating! Thank you 4 the Fun Sharon! ~Hugg From Catt~
And, thank you, Catt, for all your kind words.
And now we'll meet James~he's our own "bad-boy" in the Group...just kidding, but he is a lot of Fun!
JAMES
James, from KY~I was born in 1955 so I was listening to Elvis from birth. My older brother, 2 older sisters, and Mom were fans. So I was listening to Elvis while I was still in my crib
The first time I saw Elvis was on one of his 50's tv appearances, probably Ed Sullivan
I never got to see him perform live...He didn't play Louisville between 1958-1972
Cella and I went to Graceland the spring of 2000. The first, and so far, only trip for both of us
I am one of the original posters. I came here with Mike from another NG Mike was running.
Good Enough, James

And now, here's Ella
ELLAI've been a fan since high school. The first time I recall seeing Elvis...I really don't remember-it's been too long. Probably when he first started. Sadly, I never got to see him live. Went to Graceland the first time in 1995, Hubby took me there when we got married. He knew what an avid fan I am so he planned our marriage to include Graceland. It was an emotional thing the first time I was there. I could not hold back the tears. Have been back 3 or 4 times since first time. Was there last August for my first candle light vigil during Elvis Week. It was inspiring. I've been to Tupelo once.
I'm not sure when I started with the group, I think shortly after Mike started it. It's a great group. I don't get there as often as I should
And next, meet DJ
DJHello everyone, I am DJ (female) 45 yrs. old and I live in Arkansas. I have been in our News Group since it first began. It is the very best Elvis group on the net. I was very young when I became a fan of Elvis and I have visited Graceland once in
1985. It was the experience of a lifetime and Graceland is really very beautiful. I loved my trip there. It's not like any other tourist attraction I have ever been too. You just have to experience it to understand. I hope to go back someday soon hopefully. Elvis will always be The Greatest Entertainer this world has ever seen. His memory lives on with ~TLC ~ in our "Elvis Rocks On" News Group.
